Lisa Schrempp began her studies of yoga in 1985. She has teaching certificates from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Kerala, South India, obtained in 1995, and a Yoga Therapy Certifiate from BKS Iyengar in Rishilesh, India, obtained in 1996. She has practiced Ashtanga yoga since 1991 and has completed the primary and intermediate series with Sri K Pattabhi Jois. She is currently the only teacher in Arizona blessed to teach Ashtanga Yoga by Pattabhi Jois. Lisa is also a certified Jivamukti teacher, having also served as a mentor and educator in the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training Program. In 1999 Lisa graudated from the Ayurvedic Studies Program in Albuquerque, NM with Dr. Vasant Lad with an invitation for advanced studies in the Gurukula Program. She continued her study of therapy and treatment with Dr. Sunil Joshi, a noted Ayurvedic clinician. Under the tutelage of Dr. Vasant Lad she has studied sacred texts, herbs, disease pathology and Pancha Karma treatments. Lisa recently returned from India after apprenticing with Dr. Lad in a clinic in his hometown of Pune.
