Jacqueline Sherman founded Yoga Flow in June 2003 as a result of her desire to find something more than the "cookie-cutter, strip mall" yoga studios that seemed to permeate the community. Upon finding the Tucson Creative Dance Center, a unique circular space conceptualized by Barbara Mettler and built by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, she saw that the intrinsic serenity and peacefulness of the space served to enhance the benefits attained by yoga practice. Yoga Flow was the first studio in Tucson to offer this unique style of yoga, Vinyasa Flow, to the community, and is currently the only studio offering Ashtanga Yoga classes and traditional Mysore. On June 1st, Jackie will be moving on to other yoga ventures and the work of managing the studio will be passed on to Jill Hadap, a dedicated student Jackie believes can successfully carry on the vision and heart of the studio that has changed so many lives. We thank Jackie for her kindness, generosity and her brilliant spirit. We, at Yoga Flow, who will miss her presence greatly, wish her many more years of prosperity and joy in all of the yogic ventures she seeks.Jackie, we will always remember you, our Founding Mother, with unending warmth and love.
